The Resources page of every website is an adventure in learning for me. That is one of the first places I go to look for more things to learn. I would like to share with you my most helpful finds. I hope they help you!
On of the most helpful blog/websites I’ve discovered is Michael Hyatt. He helps me organize my work and my time. He encourages me to do the strange and crazy things I want to accomplish. He also offers free resources from time to time – gotta love that!
Jerry Jenkins, best known for his Left Behind series, gives back to the writing community with encouragement, tips, lessons and classes. There is lots and lots of content to explore on his website.
Jeff Goins is a writer and businessman who excels in serving his readers. I was able to take his first class on Intentional Blogging, which included WordPress 101 and lots of free stuff. I have a new understanding of what works in blogging and new skills for what I want to do with my blog and website. Start out with his writing resources and take in a little of his blog. You won’t be disappointed.
Back in 1997 I met a hobbyist writer who gave me a 1984 edition of Writer’s Digest. I will always be thankful for my friend Suzanne. She got me started on this wonderful journey.
Writer’s Digest continues to serve the writing community well with how-to, in-depth articles about publishing, writing, grammar, agents and tips. They have several contests during the year. Their website is full to the brim of free information. Go see for yourself!
Another nice writing resource is The Writer. Interviews with newly published writers, tips, contests, advice and methods to fend off the dreaded writer’s block. Check it out:
